Alberta Saladino founded Esprit Nouveau in 2007 with a clear vision: to create a place where the antique and the contemporary could converse without compromise. Since then she has turned Palazzo Calabritto into a landmark for research-driven interior design, the selection of vintage pieces and the applied arts of the Mediterranean.

Our story

A visionary journey

2007
The foundation

Alberta Saladino opens Esprit Nouveau at Palazzo Calabritto, in the heart of Naples. A small space that quickly becomes a point of reference for those seeking interiors with a soul. The section devoted to period pieces is born: furniture, objects and works of art personally selected on journeys through Syria, France, Morocco and across the Mediterranean.

2012
First international collaboration

The first project beyond the border: a private apartment in Paris, where Mediterranean design meets Haussmannian elegance. The beginning of a European network.

2020
Applied Arts

The gallery expands into the applied arts: the Trasformatio collection, created with artist Michele Iodice, and the Avec Alberta outerwear line are born. The space grows, the vision remains intact.

2024
Over 200 unique pieces

Today Esprit Nouveau counts over 200 unique pieces, 60 completed projects in 12 countries and a community of collectors and visionaries who recognise an unmistakable language in the gallery.
